The base of the terrarium is made of cholla and old cypress driftwood.

Cholla is a cactus found in the desert SW and Northern Mexico. After several years, old wood naturally dies and can be removed from the plants. After an intensive cleaning and removal of the thorns, we are left with a unique product.

The Tillandsia Aerathos Stricta is a very unique looking air plant, with its silver/grey appearance and abundance of trichomes. This variety of Tillandsia will grow to well over 8 inches high and will display beautiful pink and purple blooms.

Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides) is not a  true moss, but rather an epiphytic flowering plant that often grows upon larger trees in tropical and subtropical climates

Terrarium Care: 

Light requirements:  Do not expose to direct sunlight. Pick your spot and do not change it often. For best results choose a bright location for your terrarium.
Watering:  When grown indoors, air plants will need to be watered regularly. Mist your plants with distilled or rain water three times per week.
Temperature: The ideal temperature for air plants is between 50-80 °F. 
Fertilizing: Not needed
